Borrowell now has over 2 million members

Today is another exciting day for everyone here at Borrowell! We can officially announce that over two million Canadians have signed up for Borrowell. We want to thank our members who have trusted us and have used our platform to reach their financial goals.

Our mission is to help all Canadians achieve financial prosperity, and this is not a mission we take lightly. This mission has never been more important as consumers grapple with the economic shocks and personal impacts of the global pandemic.

The past 20 months have been eventful to say the least, but I’m incredibly proud of how our team has persevered and helped Canadians navigate through the vast unknowns of this COVID-19 pandemic. When the pandemic first impacted Canada, Borrowell partnered with Equifax Canada to help our members track and monitor payment deferrals initiated by their lenders.

As we navigated through 2020, we understood the financial stress this pandemic was causing. Many Canadians have looked for help building credit and accessing affordable financial products. Our acquisition of Refresh Financial earlier this year has allowed us to expand our team across Canada and continue developing a comprehensive suite of credit building solutions, including secured cards and credit building loans to help individuals establish credit history.

All Canadians deserve the opportunity to improve their credit on the other side of this pandemic, and Borrowell’s goal is to help make that a reality. We plan on expanding our credit building solutions to help everyone, and especially credit-challenged individuals, improve their long-term financial health. We will also continue to grow our marketplace of financial products from trusted partners to help Canadians from all backgrounds gain access to affordable credit.

We want to thank our partners who help us provide a large variety of financial solutions to our members. Our partnership ecosystem of over 75 trusted financial institutions, including BMO, CIBC, HSBC, Capital One, and American Express, has given us the flexibility to provide our members with deeply tailored recommendations for affordable credit products that are helpful to their financial well-being.

It’s fitting that we’re announcing the two million member milestone during Financial Literacy Month in Canada. Consumer demand for tools and solutions that reduce financial stress has never been greater. Our team at Borrowell is passionate about helping members take control of their financial health through credit education and make smart financial decisions through personalized coaching.

If you love helping others learn about their financial health as much as we do, consider telling a friend or family member about Borrowell (sign up here!) or check out the roles we’re hiring for. Thank you again for choosing and supporting Borrowell – we’re committed to helping you and all Canadians achieve financial prosperity.
